Origins
Sansevieria (now Dracaena) trifasciata is native to tropical West Africa, where it grows in dry, rocky terrain across a wide range of light conditions, from shaded bush to open exposed slopes. 'Megan' is a modern compact cultivar selected for its fuller, wider leaves.
Soil and Substrate
Sansevierias are built for dry conditions and will rot quickly in heavy, moisture-retentive soils like our Desert Mix. The free-draining blend of bark, pumice, and coco coir keeps roots oxygenated, dries out between waterings, and supports healthy new offsets.
