Prune back dead or weak vines in late winter and trim back remaining vines to first buds seen. Potential diseases include wilt (can be fatal), powdery mildew, and rust. Potential pests include scale, mites, weevils, earwigs, and slugs. Prune as needed after flowering has faded.
