An ultra seductive and instantly recognizable Dolce & Gabbana floral print stretch velvet bustier bra-strap slip dress dating back to their 1997 spring-summer collection. This design debuted on the runway in multiple similar floral fabric patterns. As pictured, Jenny McCarthy wore the same dress for her appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno in September of that year. Additionally, the floral chiffon version was also Jennifer Lawrence's choice look when appearing on the Graham Norton Show back in 2016. Dolce & Gabbana are considered the inventors of a Mediterranean style that draws its inspiration from women of Italian realism, sensual and austere like Anna Magnani, to whom they dedicated a collection whose key element was the 1940's slip. They are not looking for a retro look; Dolce & Gabbana turned to the past for innovation. The designers once stated, "We want to use the past to project it into the future". This archival slip dress is a wonderful example of their genius. The ultra soft floral stretch velvet hugs the body perfectly so it's so flattering from all angles.
