This bodice is beautifully crafted with a structural round neckline and long sleeves so that it forms a centered fit to retain a professional profile. This long mother of the bride dress by Mac Duggal 5217 design is developed to have a high density of sequin and pearl appliques at the top of a tulle layer to make the upper frame hold its shape with architectural weight to make the Mother of the Bride or Groom have a smooth and balanced outline.

With this background, the entire A-line skirt is crafted and tailored to hold an architectural shape, which holds a stable profile. The sequin and tulle fabric with weights makes sure that the gown continues to maintain its volume and positioning, and the built-in sweep train gives it both structural depth and functional movement, which makes this fully lined gown a useful and quality choice during church services or formal evening receptions.

Key Features:

  • Precision Pearl and Sequin Appliques: High-caliber hand-placed embellishments designed to provide structural depth and a consistent, polished finish.

  • Tailored Long Sleeves: Precision-cut sleeves engineered to maintain their form while providing reliable, professional coverage.

  • Architectural A-Line Skirt: Precision-cut to ensure a clear, formal silhouette with a steady, weighted hang.

  • Structural Sweep Train: A masterfully designed hemline extension that maintains the gown's volume and professional alignment.

  • Premium Tulle Composition: High-quality fabric selected for its structural substance and ability to support heavy embellishment without losing shape.

Available Colors:

Caramel, Platinum/Gold, Midnight, Nude

Find Out Who Was the Legal Secretary
Format: Hardcover
I ordered this book after watching Nuremberg with Michael Shannon and Russell Crowe because I wanted to find out who was the woman accompanying Justice Jackson to Germany. Yes, that was not his wife, it was his legal secretary, Elsie Douglas. This book is the only source I could find that goes into any detail about their relationship. What it provides is nowhere near salacious, because it is evident that Jackson took his secrets to the grave. What details it does provide about the evident love triangle that existed in Jackson's life for many years is quite sufficient to explain the events of Nuremberg.

Well written. Factual sloppiness.
Format: Hardcover
Good insight into Jackson’s approach to the law. Thoroughly researched. Well written. However, Professor White made two egregious factual errors, both of which are an indication of sloppiness on his part, as well as that of his editors and peer reviewers. First, he refers to the World War 2 Chief of Naval Operations as the Secretary of the Navy. Second he states that Los Alamos National Laboratory is in California.

Judging Jackson
Format: Hardcover
Readers interested in FDR's era, the post-war Nuremberg Trial, and/or such important U.S. Supreme Court events as the Rosenberg spy case and Brown v. Board of Education will enjoy this well-researched book. Illuminating insights as to the characters of his fellow members of the High Court, especially Justices Black and Douglas, are also present. Of special interest in today's world is Justice Jackson's thinking on the limits of Executive Power in terms of war powers and foreign relations. I do think non-lawyers will be less interested when the author, a legal scholar, sometime goes into depth exploring aspects of Justice Jackson's thoughts on opaque technical areas, such as diversity jurisdiction under the constitution. And, I fail to see the need to spend much time on Justice Black's two children, as is done in chapter two "Family Matters." Why do I need to know that his daughter was a mediocre student in college or details about her early love life? Professor White clearly admires Robert H. Jackson as a fine advocate, brilliant writer, and independent judge, while noting some of his flaws. All in all, a good biography of an important American.
